Get to know this month’s Envase Team Member Spotlight: Tori Bergantino-McKinnon, Product Owner for Profit Tools at Envase Technologies. Don’t forget to check out our previous team member spotlight to learn more about the interesting people who make up the Envase team!
How long have you worked at Envase? What is your job & favorite part of it?
I’ve been at Envase almost 4 months as a Product Owner on the Profit Tools team. Aside from loving the PO role itself and the people here who have been amazing, my favorite part is the products that we work on. My career up to this point has been mostly supporting internal applications for insurance, which is interesting, but the overarching product that we sold was a promise to be there if something goes wrong. It’s fun and empowering to work on a more tangible product that has a direct correlation to people’s day to day lives.
What is your favorite sport or team?
I don’t religiously watch games, but I do enjoy Football, Hockey, and Basketball in that priority order.
Name one Envase member you would take on a road trip, where and why?
I don’t think I know anyone quite well enough to road trip with them. More for their sanity than mine, I talk a lot and am someone who laughs when it gets too quiet. In regard to a trip, I love Disney and am always up for a visit.
If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be and why?
Cooking, I wish I enjoyed it but I just don’t.
What is a strong belief you have?
Before you help others you first must help yourself. It’s so easy to do things to try and make other people happy, especially if you tend to be a people pleaser. It’s been so crucial in my life to put up healthy boundaries, make sure I’m making good decisions for me and my family, and learn to say no. Not only am I a happier person but I’m more effective and helpful to the people around me when I’m working to be the best version of myself.
What is your favorite food cuisine and name of your favorite dish?
I like most foods and will try just about anything. If I had to pick one it would be Italian, from Italy. When I studied abroad in Florence there wasn’t a single pasta dish or pizza that I didn’t enjoy.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Telekinesis, it would be super helpful in day-to-day life to be able to move things with your mind.
If you could be the character in a tv show, what character would you want to be?
I find crime dramas and true crime shows fascinating. Criminal Minds is my favorite, so I’d go with one of the profilers, probably JJ.
One thing about you that no one knows at Envase
When I’m not working or spending time with my husband/family I really enjoy crafting. I have a Cricut machine and DIYed most of the decorations for my wedding in 2021.
